The Perfectionist
written by Sara Shepard
Where do I even begin with this novel? Suspenseful, unpredictable, and jaw dropping. With each chapter I was in awe of the change of direction. This book involves five high school seniors - Parker, Julie, Ava, Caitlin, and Mackenzie who all are "perfect" in different ways, yet they all have one thing in common, their hatred for Nolan Hotchkiss. With their hatred comes the main conflict of the novel, thus leading to someone pinning the murder on them all. With no way to escape, they have no choice, but to endure the suffering of the murder trial and somehow prove themselves innocent.
I recommend this book for anyone whom read Pretty Little Liars or the Lying Game. This book is full of suspenseful drama and horrific blackmail. I hope you all find as much enjoyment from this novel as I did.

"Love and Other Perishable Items"
Love and Other Perishable Items
written by Laura Buzo
I found this book to be funny and full of entertaining thoughts of both young adults. The main characters in this book include, 15 year old Amelia and 21 year old Chris, whom live in the country of Australia. While Chris is a young adult trying to find his way through adulthood, often turning towards alcohol, marijuana, and long shifts at their local supermarket, Amelia can't help fall madly in love with him. Now, throughout this novel, Chris writes in his journal discussing his search for "the perfect woman." while Amelia is illustrated through her face-to-face contact with her crush. All in all, this book includes both the struggles and blessings of falling in love at such a young age.
This was a pretty fast read - being slightly under 300 pages - I was able to finish it pretty quickly. Laura Buzo did a tremendous job keeping the story interesting, yet not too predictable. I would strongly recommend this book to any teenage girl in need of a good, upbeat love story.
Happy Reading!
